The Yorkshire Military Band is a concert band based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire. 

We are open to musicians age 15 upwards (players must be in their last year of school) and the band rehearse on Monday nights at our own bandroom at 16 Doncaster Road, Barnsley from 19:30 - 21:30 or 18:00 - 19:30 for Corps of Drums.

The band is of a high standard and members must be a minimum of Grade VI and preferably with some experience of ensemble playing.  Ex-military musicians are always welcome, however membership is open to all of suitable ability.

  • Euphonium

  • Clarinet

 

Instruments are available to borrow from the band and we welcome students and players who are returning after time off.

 

We are advertising especially for the above players but are not limited to such. If your instrument isn't listed or you aren't sure whether you are of the required standard, just get in touch and come along.
