The Yorkshire Military Band is a concert band based in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

We rehearse on Monday evenings from 19:30 - 21:30 (for those aged under 16, 18:00 - 19:00), at 16 Doncaster Road, Barnsley S70 1TH.

The band is of a high standard and members must be a minimum of Grade VI and preferably with some experience of ensemble playing.  Ex-military musicians are always welcome, however membership is open to all of suitable ability.

Our current membership ranges from age 16 to 70 years old, 10 to 16 for our younger groups.

​

The complete ensemble is that of a band but we can also be flexible in providing a different range of music groups to suit smaller venues and functions.

 

We undertake many engagements throughout the year ranging from playing in parks around Yorkshire to prestigious events and private functions throughout the UK.
